Squids are awesome. They just are. And in an effort to waste your time and mine, I present to you...
THE ELBOW SQUID!!!!!!!!

More on the awesomeness of this squid here.
Seriously, it looks like those aliens from Independence Day.
BTW, in case you were dying to know, I did not get that glorious snow day that I so very much need. I finally got my Illinois Driver's Liscense though ^_^!

We've been really busy lately and I was gonna do a whole recap on our fun events but I'm too lazy and still too busy so here is a mini recap.
- We went to the Brookfield Zoo, which was kind of small and saw a playful otter and some wolves who thought we looked tasty. I got a small stuffed tiger who I still need to name.
- Ate lots of food that I shouldn't have ate.
- Saw Wanted, Hancock, Hellboy 2 and Get Smart. Get Smart was probably my favorite of the 4 of them.
- Bought tons of stuff to redocorate our apartment, spent more monies than we should have.
- I got 3 new pairs of jeans and 5 new shirts from Urban Outfitters and Aeropostale.
- My Hello Kitty collection continues to grow.
- I go to work tomorrow at 12:45 and stay till 5:15....

You would think that during the summer I would post more because I had more free time, but no, that's not how things seem to work. Why not, some may ask? I have no idea; I'm just naturally lazier during the summer or something. I think that it also has to do with the fact that I have less school stuffs to complain about therefore, less desire to post. So yeah, this is what I've been up to.
1. Working hard for the monies at Starbucks, which I hate because I want to drink coffee and I can't and I don't really know anyone at this Starbucks so it's a little awkward when we have down time and everyone is standing around talking and I'm off hiding in my Drive Thru corner. This Starbucks has older employees so that makes it a little better than my last Starbucks where nearly everyone was 17 and overly dramatic.
2. Going to the gym. This is the reason why I can't drink coffee. I'm trying to make a stronger effort to get into shape this summer. It's a little odd to me that I only have about 6 pounds of body fat left on my body before I could be considered to be in "superior" physical condition because when I look in the mirror I think I could stand to lose about 15 pounds. My trainer thinks that I can lose 5 of those pounds in one month if I stay really dedicated to working out and eating right.
3. Collecting Littlest Pet Shop Toys. Hurray! Littlest Pet Shop Toys were my favorite toys when I was younger and now they have a whole new line of out. I still think the older toys are much cuter than the new ones, but now they have more variety. I only have about three figures right now but I'm intent on collecting only the weird animals like ferrets and frogs; I think they are much cuter than the normal cats and dogs.
4. Knitting and crocheting. Right now I'm just working on knitting and crocheting techniques but my summer goal is to knit my husband a sweater. I don't know if that will actually happen though because it took me two years to finish that stupid scarf that I had been working on. It only took me one night to crochet a pink little amigurumi bunny though so who knows what can happen.
5. Grades. I got three As and one C for this last semester. I did horrible on my last Bio test because I had a headache so I kind of had a feeling that I would get a C in the class.
6. Playing Pokemons. I got Darkrai from a promotional event at Toys R Us a few weeks ago, and I'm planning on getting Deoxys from Gamestop next weekend.
7. Eating massive amounts of cherries. Hurray for cherry season.
8. Saw Kung Fu Panda and Don't Mess with the Zohan. They weren't that good. The last really good comedy movie I saw was Hot Fuzz so everything else seems to pale in comparison.
Wow, this is a long entry for me not really doing anything this summer.

The semester of hell is finally over. Never in my lifetime have I been so unmotivated to study, learn, or get my butt to class.
It all boils down to the fact that I need a change, a new school, some friends or something. I think I did really bad on my Biology final, or I may have done quite well. I can't even tell because the test was written so oddly and all the questions were phrased differently from how the subject matter was presented to us in class, I honestly don't know how I did. I'm going to assume bad.
My zoology exam went really well. I'm positive that I got an A on that test, so I'm not worried about that class at all.
Now tonight Usman and I are going downtown to see the live action Death Note movie, tomorrow I'm gonna clean this whole stupid apartment, and Friday is my first day of work at Starbucks. Then this weekend all I'm gonna do is sleep.

Nooooooooooooooooooo! Today I must crawl back to Starbucks and beg for a job. I don't know how to go about it either. "Hi is your manager here hello my name is blah blah and I was wondering if you are hiring right now I've worked at Starbucks before and I would like to start working again this summer" *breathes* "Oh your not okay may I still fill out an application in case you change your mind" *breathes* Then off to the next Starbucks, and then the next! Repeat Repeat Repeat.
Edit: 3:47 PM
Well the Starbucks thing went well. I knew the manager from when I worked at the mall and he remembered me and told me that they may be looking for someone and to come in and hand in the application tomorrow. Yay! I didn't go anywhere else to pick up an application because I don't really want to work anywhere else.
Anyways, I feel like crap. I hurt so much from yesterday's workout that I can barely stand up and sit back down. It's more like I collapse rather than sit. It's really hard to get anything done when you feel like this you know.
I think I should mention that we just got a Wii on Tuesday, and a huge 52 inch flat panel TV on Sunday. I think this was kind of stupid because now it's just gonna add to my ever growing list of reasons not to study.
Seriously if it didn't hurt so much to get up, I would be playing Wii Sports right now.

That means I'm bored again. I am patiently waiting for my parents to have Ryan scan and send me the last papers I need for my student loans so I can actually start college again. Even though I'm still not sure if I want to be a psychiatrist, I'm looking forward to studying. I know that interest will die my second day of class but still, I need to get out and do something. I applied for eight different jobs, but I guess that wasn't enough. No one has called me or my boyfriend about it.
I did go workout this morning. It wasn't the same as it use to be. Usually it was because I had some deadline that I had to be in shape by and some plan that I'm suppose to follow, but now I just did it to get out of the house. I was gone for about an hour. It was a 10 minute walk to the gym, a 40 minute workout (which almost sorta killed me) and another 10 minute walk back. The sweat was just pouring off me, I could see a pool of it on the machine. I looked horrible, some lady kept looking back at me like I was going to do something amazing, like catch on fire or something. She wasn't even shiny or glistening with sweat, but she was fatter than me. She was just walking though, I could do that without sweating, I hope.
The last two weeks have been fun though. New York was amazing, just like I thought it would be. I'm still determined that my boyfriend and I will move there for some reason or another. It's most likely that we will end up in New Jersey or Michigan, but I can't resist the thought of being so close to the Hello Kitty store. We almost didn't go. When I looked it up online, the address was for a store in New Jersey, so we went there first. The store had closed down, but they had a Morning Glory, which had really cute Korean school supplies. I bought some stickers, a little wobbly kissing dog, and an eraser.
When we got to New York we got stuck in traffic, and while we were looking around, I saw Sanrio Surprises, I almost had a heart attack. We finally were able to park the car, and walk down 20 streets just to get there. I got some really cute pajamas, stickers, a cell phone charm, a Cinnamaroll stuffed animal and other stuff. Then we went to an unbelievable crowded Coldstone for ice cream and then to Lowes Theater to see Fast and the Furious 3 which we loved and then walked twenty streets back to the car.
Before we got to the car we stopped at a restaurant so my boyfriend could use the bathroom, and I sat at a booth listening to what looked liked some homeless man screaming about buying cigarettes. I heard him accuse the cashier, and maybe a cook, about how they didn't like black people. He told them that the last time he was there he was able to get cigarettes. Then he started screaming "I didn't pull no gun or no knife!" While I sat there examining my nails and going through my Hello Kitty stuff. The cashier started to tell the cook just to give the guy some cigarettes, while the cook was on the phone with the police. Then a couple walked in and started to look at the buffet, while the black guy just started screaming about how the cashier was blacker than he was (not), and that they thought they were better than him. The couple soon left and I started freaking out so I walked back to the bathroom, and waited for him to come out. That was my horribly scary New York experience that I will cherish for the rest of my life.

Except for Carl because he's just nasty.
This is really cool, the realization has finally hit. In 18 years of my life I have only been to Minnesota and Nebraska. 5 days ago I was in downtown Chicago, 4 days ago downtown Detroit, 3 day ago downtown Toronto, and now I"m in freaking New Jersey, and then later this week New York, and maybe a month from now Germany. I thought it would be years before I even left Iowa, and now I live the suburbs of Chicago going back and forth between states and staying in the Hilton Hotels freaking out about homeless people asking for money, and listening to men play saxophones on the sidewalk. I've been to Chinatown in Toronto, Greektown in Detroit and who knows what I'll see in New York. Life is great.
The downside of this all was that we were only these places so my boyfriend could work(and I helped! ^_^). Sitting in the car all day is really exhausting, the only thing you want to do is sleep, but still, it was really fun. I made fun of Canada the whole time and said whatever stupid thing that came to my mind, which is something that I haven't gotten use to doing with him but I feel much better about now.
It also sucked was that the whole time we were in Canada, I could not find a decent radio station, everything was light rock and easy listening. The speed limit was about 60 mph(I forget how many Km), and what they call Mountain Dew is caffeine free (italics, the most effeminate of the type faces). What kind of pansy ass country is this!? But they have Skittles minis and I cannot find those in America, so I have decided to let them live.

Yeah, the only reason I downloaded this song is because Peter sang it on Family Guy. I'm sure every 16 year old did as well. I don't mean to diss Family Guy, because everybody is, buuuuuuuuuuut...
Anyways, I'm going to Canada tomorrow. My boyfriend has to test there, and I get to finally find out what the hell he actually does. Even though I've asked several times, I still don't get it. All I know is that it involves a bunch of wires, cell phones and computer stuff.
When I get there I think I'm going to find those Degrassi kids and kick their asses. They need to get their act together. Manni is a slut, Craig needs to be committed and Emma is just retarded. Quality TV.
Of course Canada makes me think of Colleen and that fact that I have to start getting back in touch with a lot of people. I don't think I'm calling my parents or Ryan enough either. It's sort of hard to carry a conversation when I'm not really doing anything other than watching reruns of That 70's Show, or Fresh Prince of Bel-Air(Will Smith Rocks). I won't have a lot of time to do these things for awhile, becuase after Canada, it's off to New Jersey, for at least one week, but possibly two.
Of course we are going to visit New York. We're going to see if we can get tickets to The Colbert Report, I don't want to miss my chances of seeing Stephen Colbert again. He was in the Chicago-land area, and I had no clue. I also missed Akira Yamaoka jumping on stage performing the "Theme of Laura" at PLAY. I knew they were going to be performing Silent Hill songs, but I didn't know Akira was going to be there.
And also...
MUST.VISIT.HELLO.KITTY.STORE.
I don't care if I have to drag my boyfriend, or if he makes fun of me the whole time. We will go.
What is even cooler is a possible month long trip to Germany. Muhahahahaha.
